Anyone who looks up Robert Seeliger on his agency’s website will find «race car
driver» listed as one of his special skills. However, that alone was not the
deciding factor when Robert Seeliger was chosen to play the leading male role in
The Illusive.

His charm, his disarming smile and his nonchalance were just the combination of
traits that director
Roman Kuhn
was imagining when he wrote the screenplay. Who
could be the German equivalent of the ultra-cool Hollywood face, Clive Owen?
Robert Seeliger is, even though in a certain respect, he is only half «German».
Robert was born and raised in Canada and his first language was English. While
filming the television series MISS TEXAS, he met and fell in love with a German
actress who was also working on the series. They ended up getting married and
now live in Berlin. Seeliger has worked on numerous North American television
productions and in 2006 played a supporting role in Hal Hartley’s political
thriller Fay Grim.
