Usually the fruits of George’s stressful job appear online or in the photo-
editing department of a car magazine just a few hours after they are taken.
Usually. But this time, his feelings for Laura have kept him from passing on the
photos of the prototype. If our secret photographer doesn't let himself get
swept away by a beautiful woman, though, this is what will happen:
»
George uploads the digital photos to his Apple MacBook Pro, edits and stores
them there. Unless of course he has taken them in a high-frequency mode, in
which case he turns them into an Apple Quicktime Movie. He then immediately
emails them to the client …
George has to work in secrecy and therefore really appreciates mobile equipment
like the extremely powerful MacBook Pro. His competition, on the other hand, the
team of photographers that officially works for Mercedes-Benz to capture the new
SLR Roadster in the best light, can really go all the way. They do the same
thing George does, just not on a laptop in a T-Model. Instead, they work on
fancy 23- and 30-inch monitors, the high-resolution Apple Cinema Displays. Now
George is getting something new for his home, the extremely thin and powerful
iMac. It isn’t for his prototype shots, though. It’s for his pictures of Laura.
So where does he get the iMac? From the same place he has always bought his
Macs, whether in person or online. At Gravis.
